We gladly accept books from authors or publishers for review. We prefer books in print format (ARCs, galleys, paperbacks or hardbacks) to electronic copies, but we do accept e-books in a variety of formats. PDF and kindle (.azw) formats are preferred.
We love romances of all kinds! We mostly read Young Adult, Contemporary, Historical (particularly Highland/Medieval) and Paranormal Romances. We also love reading YA Dystopian, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy and Adventure novels. We are open to other genres, so do let us know if a book you think we might be interested in is not within the genres mentioned above. Unfortunately, we do not currently accept non-fiction books for review, other than economics-related literature.
Our reviews include the book cover and the description written at the back or the inside cover of the book (we take this from goodreads). To avoid the inclusion of spoilers, we tend not to include further summary of the plot unless it is integral to our review. Each of our reviews generally detail our opinion on the plot and its pace, the characters, settings and how much (or how little) we enjoyed the book. We ensure that all our reviews are honest and fair and are based on our entire reading experience. While we cannot always promise positive reviews, we do try to give every book a balanced review. The length of each review varies.
On average we read and review two to four books a week, and we usually post the review within three days of finishing a book. We are open to review deadlines if required, but due to the number of books in our review pile, the time constraints and heavy academic commitments reviews may take a while. If possible, do give us at least a month's notice. We are willing to accept earlier deadlines should the book provided be on our wish list. Do send us an e-mail!
Our reviews are also posted on goodreads, amazon.co.uk, waterstones, publisher's website and the like. If you require the review to be posted on a particular site, do let us know.
